Length:: 1:43 MinsEvery since I saw the Tummy Tub on The Today Show back in May last year, I was very intrigued about it. I was amazed to see all these cute little babies in these clear bucket-type tubs. Being that I have recently had a baby, I wanted to try it out and see if it was really worth all the hype. At first all I knew about the Tummy Tub was that it used less water, mimicked the womb, and was easily transportable. However as I researched and used the product, I found out a lot more about its benefits.

So, glad I bought this!!! Wish I had it when my little one was first born. Just found out about it and will use it from the beginning with the next one. My toddler was 20 months when I introduced this. 1st time use was 30 mins.! Here is some things I noticed. He was born preemie and gets very cold quick even now. At swim class he is the only one who has to wear a wet suit that covers his thighs and upper arms with an additional wet suit over the top that is like a singlet. He loves the water but can't stay in the bath long before he has to get out. So, that is why the 30 mins was such a surprise. I felt the water and it was not warm after less than 10 mins. but he was fine. I didn't get his head wet but rather let him soak with the water to his arm pits. His body was in fetal position so this helps to keep warmth in. He had a perma grin the entire time so I think that there were happy endorphins being released that were also keeping him warm. I would get the stand. I did and I am happy to have saved my back especially sitting there so long for him to be done. I just got a little foot stool and sat there with him. I had him in our room which has carpet and I took a chance just putting a towel down. He loves to splash but surprising he didn't do much of that. Instead he wanted to just be content. I had a video playing that he loves and he really enjoyed himself. It takes such little water as well which is great. Not hard to lift it and dump it out. Easy to Clean. I would get everything you need to be sitting there for a while. Go to the bathroom and bring a drink. I didn't realize how long it would be. He is able to sit back and hold his head but a newborn would need help with the head. Another reason to save your back and get the stool. The only thing I would do different is hide this from my husband until he was able to see it in action. It looks like a bucket and a waste of money to someone very practical. It is worth every penny. It would be great for calming, constipation, colic, etc. If you give it as a gift you might have to just go over there and help them use it just to get them started. I could see someone putting this in a closet and not be sure of where to go to return it. They just have to use it once to see how great it is.

I'm glad they made it high enough that babies up to 2 can fit in it because my 2-year-old LOVES this tub and enjoys filling it up with water and bubbles herself then taking a bath in which she stays warm the entire time. I love it because it is SO easy to keep clean and is very stable. I'm pregnant right now and cleaning the entire bathtub before and after baths is too much of a chore for every day - before I received my Tummy Tub my daughter was taking showers because that was easier for me. I love this tub and can't wait to use it for my baby when he's born!

From the time she was a month old, my daughter has not been a fan of laying down in her infant bath tub. She loves to be upright, and submerged in the water more than the traditional baby tubs allow, so I started filling up the regular bath tub for her. She loved it, but I either had to lean over the side of the tub to hold her up, or get in with her. Not very convenient or comfortable!

The Tummy Tub is great because it allows her to be upright and submerged, but I can bathe her in any room and with minimal water. She stays warm, can splash around, and can push her feet up against the sides which she loves. It saves us time, energy, water and money. The no slip grip on the bottom is very efficient, too!

I'm from Germany and have been using the TummyTub for years. I am glad to see them in the US now and have recently purchased one for my new grandson. All pediatricians and midwives agree that a baby enjoys being surrounded by warm water in a contained environment particularly newborns as it reminds them of their mother's womb. I have known the TummyTub for many years and have realized that the TummyTub is perfectly shaped to accommodate the natural fetal position that babies prefer to be in. In the TummyTub, since the majority of the baby's body should be covered with warm water they are very relaxed. In Europe thousands of midwives and doulas use theTummyTub and it has become an essential device in the maternity wards of many hospitals and birthing clinics. I highly recommend the TummyTub. It is fascinating and 100% safe way of relaxing both your baby and, in fact, yourself as a parent.

Length:: 2:07 MinsWe recently began using the TummyTub with our three month old son. I wasn't sure how I'd like it at first, but after having used it several times can tell you that it's definitely one of the most relaxing ways for him to take a bath. He's extremely content while using the TummyTub...partly because he's warmer being covered with water and also because of the upright position (which is great for babies who are colicky or have gas). I am very pleased with how simple it is to use and how easy it makes giving our son his baths. I am very happy with this product and only wish I had come across it sooner!

My first impression was giant bucket. And it is, but without all of the chemicals and all that comes in regular car washing buckets. Plus it is bigger than a normal bucket. My son (2 years) likes the Tummy Tub a lot! I have no idea why, it looks way uncomfy but he likes his feet all tucked up. I on the other hand am not a fan.
Pros:

* He couldn't squirm away while washing his hair
* He was happy and didn't fight to bathe
* Uses less water overall
* Nonslip grip on the bottom
* Big
* Multiple uses beside a bathtub

Cons:

* Really difficult to rinse his hair, had to turn the water on to wet and rinse his hair. Overall, not that big a deal.
* Easily tips over without the optional base when a bigger child gets in and out. However there are video showing how it's not supposed to tip over.
We also tried our 1 year old in the tub. He wasn't a big fan. He doesn't really like the regular bath tub either. I'm not sure if it's the water or what, but ever since surgery he hasn't liked the water. The people at Tummy Tub were very helpful in working with me to try all different ways to help him in the tub. They said they had never heard of a baby who didn't like it. I guess my Blue Eye's is just a different circumstance.

After the boys are to big to bathe in the tub, we will use it for other things like washing the car, water balloons and toy storage. My 2 year old thinks it makes for a good helmet (although we don't let him). I'm sure we will come up with other things when the time comes. Until then, it holds all of the tub toys. I was given a tummy tub as a gift, and since have ordered it for two other people. My son was not thrilled about taking a bath when he had to be on his back in a regular baby bath, since we starting using the tummy tub bath time is a wonderful time for both of us. The water stays warmer longer, and it is much easier to get him in and out of. I also have one of the stools and it is so nice to be able to sit and give him a bath instead of bending over into the tub. I recommend this item for anyone baby. It also helps my little one sleep better at night. The tummy tub has become the one baby item I would not give up. I love it.

I have a TummyTub for my 7 month old and love it! She sits down in it and splashes and plays in the water the whole time I'm bathing her. I stand her up to wash her then sit her to rinse her off which makes it easier for me than trying to wash her underwater. This is my go to shower gift for all moms to be! The TummyTub is different than any bathtub I've used before and like with anything new there will be a little bit of an adjustment period. Give it two or three days and you'll love your TummyTub too!
